Guest guest
Had two weeks in Majorca holiday. When trying to get into clothes for evening meal had a real struggle with swelling belly. Discovered by accident if I reduced my T3 the swelling was nowhere near as bad. I only take three quaters of a 20 mcg tablet at home in England anyway. I dropped to half a tablet taken in two quaters. Has anyone else had this at all?? I did not feel ill on less T3 either. Luv Stephie
Guest guest
Hello , I take dessicated thyroid and since all the Armour supply probs I changed to Westhroid and Erfa. It made me put on 10 pounds in less than two weeks. After 3 months on it I had blood tests and discovered that although the T4 and TSH were the same as on Armour the T3 had gone up quite a bit. I've had to cut it down a bit but unfortunately the weight is still the same. However it also made my ankles puffier and since I reduced the dose this seems to have improved a bit. Guest guest
hi Stephie, some of us increase dose for Winter- so what you have expericence is the reverse- needing less for hot weather. I don't get swelling as winter approaches- just a need to hibernate! > thyroid treatment > From: stephanie.trolle@...> Date: Tue, 5 Oct 2010 12:16:19 +0000> Subject: Needed less T3 on Hols> > Had two weeks in Majorca holiday. > When trying to get into clothes for evening meal had a real struggle with swelling belly. > > Discovered by accident if I reduced my T3 the swelling was nowhere near as bad. Guest guest
Thanks to everyone for the T3 messages, I do take T4 as well but only 50mcg and have to split that into two doses, one in the morning first thing and one tab before I go to bed. Trying to take the two together guarantees a headache of the crashing kind!! I wish I was just not so wierd when it comes to medication, glad I can speak to others who are " wierd also " .
