Reaction to AIDS VACCINE trials

When I wrote back to my friend about my concerns that HIV didn't

cause AIDS and my concern that there never could be a vaccine and this was

all about money etc...

Here is what he wrote...

" I've heard that said HIV before I don't really know enough about it to say

that I

have an informed opinion either way. All I can say is that, from my former

days

working for the Department of Health & Human Services, I would not be the

LEAST

bit surprised by a scam cooked up between the drug companies, the FDA, NIH and

everyone else who might have a financial stake in AIDS. My primary reason for

leaving that agency was because I couldn't handle the sleazy dealings

between the

government, the industries we were supposed to be regulating, the

researchers and

the providers of " care " . Wherever there was money involved, there was always

something sleazy going on. To make it worse, I was there during the last

years of

the Reagan nightmare so even the rhetoric was bad. "
