Guest guest
I just got my fish results back and they were at 4%. My last results in December showed 3%. Should I be concerned that it went up even though it wasn't a lot. I was diagnosed in May 2005 and am on 400 mg Gleevec. Any insight would be appreciated. Guest guest
Hi , First a big Y A H O O O !!!! Y I P P E E E !!!! Number 948 in the Zero Club Zavie This is an outstanding result. The FISH test results always overestimate the number of positive cells. It depends on the lab in which it is done and the best of them over estimate by 5%. In your case, you reached the magic Zero back in December. Now that you are Zero by FISH, you will need to start monitoring your status by PCR testing. FISH is only sensitive to 1:200 cells. PCR testing can be accurate to 1:1,000,000 cells. Zavie [ ] Fish results I just got my fish results back and they were at 4%. My last results in December showed 3%.
