Guest guest
When you figure out how to take the time away from these tasks, let me know, Laurie I will be SO jealous! Read it today and like it so much I may follow her advice...although it's tempting to take more than ONE day off. TAKE A DAY OFFby Terri MauroYou can never take a day off from being a parent, and you may not be able to take a day off from work whenever you like, but there ARE things you can give yourself a day off from. Next time you're feeling particularly stressed, messed up, tired out or done in, declare a day off from:WorryingCaring what other people thinkBeing behavior copDoing researchKnowing it allFighting battlesMaking phone callsServing as case managerHandling detailsFilling out formsMulti-taskingWorking outHolding it inMaking appointmentsPlanning aheadSolving problemsSaying the right thingBeing SuperparentEnjoy!! Guest guest
I would be jealous if I could take time off from any ONE of those things. Perhaps, if we concentrated on not doing only ONE of them, it would help. But how could you decide which one NOT to do? Guest guest
Marie that is an interesting question. I would pick WORRYING to decide not to do as if you can stop worrying, and I think there are levels of worrying, many times some of the other things on the list fall into place. I would also add another to the list CARING as that is what it is all about. Louise Re: Take a Day Off I would be jealous if I could take time off from any ONE of those things. Guest guest
Ok... now I am worrying about what to pick to not do or worry about... Only kidding... Let's face it, our children, our spouses, our jobs, the day to day "stuff" is all part of life... Those of us in this group appear to have a great deal of strength and courage besides having the basics of food and shelter...we all have each other and lots to be thankful for.
