A lot of what we have accomplished was due to Allan's efforts years ago. I corresponded by email with him a few months back - he sent me an email and I replied - still awaiting another response! Allan? He was very effective with the legislature here in Colorado as the Executive Director of the Arc, and I believe he went on to bigger and better things with the UCP group in Washington, DC. I wish him and you the best of luck. He will need a lot of help from parents. Parents - don't let only others represent and advocate for you. Represent yourselves, also. Become the leaders in your advocacy. Let's keep in touch on these and other issues.
