One thing you might consider with the Gleevec, depending on your dose.........if you are only eating very small meals at a time, then only take 100mg with each little meal??? go back to the 100mg tablets. I know people on 400gm that split it into 2 doses. Gleevec has a long 1/2 life, so as long as you get the full dose into your system, it should not matter.......especially because you are only maintaining with this drug. Happy Easter to you also, C. The Gleevec is what is tearing up my new pouch and causing my potassium to bottom out so much. My Oncologist won't allow me to do the potassium/saline on a pump at night, she prefers I come in every day for 5 hours and just sit there while it's going in me. Fat chance of doing that. When I can be doing it while I sleep at home. To sit in the Cancer Center for 5-6 hours is wasting my time. That would have to be done on a daily basis. Forget that. Get back to me.
