Hi

I was diagnosed in June 06 and have been on 400 mg of Gleevec. I

haven't had too many side effects, but the last 2 days I have been

coughing. As you said not a chest cough. Like I had to clear my

throat.I have varicose veins and wear compression stockings which I

think helps my ankles not being swollen. My legs ache though. Maybe it

is just the heat and humidity.

I am very thankful that there is Gleevec.

Healthy wishes

Hi Ceil,

Lots of people do get some muscle and joint achiness...also bone pain, on

Gleevec. Some of the symptoms that you have at the beginning will not

last.....and some symptoms seem to cycle (come and go over time).

Best wishes to you,

C.

if it's a rash it may be a allergy ?? if not, it's probably vasculitis.

rash is raised bumps, vasculitis is flat red to purpleish dots under

the skin.

I get these little white raised bumps for no apparent reason. They are not

filled with

anything, just little white hard bumps that sometimes go away, other times stick

around for a

while.
