Hi Fran,

Sorry about this medical problem. Gleevec is known of course to cause some

hemorrhages.....it is a known side effect. And several people on different

lists are mentioning 'new' heart murmurs.

I want to encourage you to send a little mini-history to Dr. Druker.....and

also ask his opinion.

I think he will be interested in getting some stories/data on these new

problems that seem to be arising in long term users of IM. Let us know if

you get any feedback from him. I think you probably have his e-mail??? or I

can give it to you.

C.

Hey Fran,

I had a heart murmor at diagnosis and from what I understand they are a common

side-effect of CML. As far as the bleeds, I've had a bunch of bruising problems

since I got CML. I bruise fairly easily now. I wonder if the bump to your head

was just a minor bump but because of the CML it bruised easier than it normally

would? Either way I hope you are feeling better soon and that things start

looking up for you!
