That is so sad they took him away from his mother! Those numbers are from >the World Health Organization...Sharon In one book I recently read (I can't remember which because I've read so many), it said unless a mother has another child, usually her milk will dry up around age 6 or so, regardless of continued nursing because the body just doesn't product without the boost of another pregnancy. This is known by watching parents in India, where the longer a child is nursed, the better, so some children nurse until age 9 or 10.
