Lynda,

Our son age 44 has used both an electric

razor and safety razor. He doesn’t

shave himself but others have over the years, at home it is Dad and he still

uses the electric razor to shave .

At his residence where he lives the staff shave

him with a safety razor. When he

was first in residence we sent along his electric razor but the staff didn’t

seem to know how to take care of a razor and we had to replace it a couple

times. Then a male staff began to

work and he preferred to shave by using a safety razor. When moved from that agency we

again sent along the electric razor to the new residence but in no time staff were shaving him with the safety razor. The razor people recommend using one or

the other but it works out OK this way for .

We like the Remington electric razors; we

buy the most inexpensive one. At

one time we were able to purchase them at Walgreen’s but when we couldn’t

find what we wanted there we went to the Remington store at Gurnee Mills.

Good luck in making your choice.

fucntional

question

Hi all,

My son who is 14 1/2 years old is getting to the point where he will

need to start shaving his face. He is minimally verbal, and has ok fine

motor skills. I am wondering what others have done about

shaving.....did you teach your sons to shave with an electric razor or

start out with a regular manual razor? Anyone with past experience on

this who is willing to share would be much appreciated. I know this is

small in the scheme of things, but I always appreciate hearing from

those who have been down this path before.

Thanks in advance,

Lynda Rands
