Ive put up to 15 kilos and yes while it could have to do with inactivity and fatigue alot of it also is due to edema. Ive come off Gleevec going on my 8th week now and since being off ive lost about 6 kilos. Yes we all try and exercise and we must drink lots of water but it is very hard for some to exercise to keep the weight down. I use to walk about 5ks a day before cml. then it came to a quick halt. I then bought a walker which is great for my good days but there wasnt too many of them on Gleevec. some people do get bed ridden on Gleevec believe it or not. Since i stopped taking Gleevec im back walking 4 Ks a day...mmm but not sure how long that will last..heheh i start the Gold Tablet on Feb 1st. (the things we do to live..hehe) Anyway dont be too hard on yourself..i use to be and would just cry cause of the weight i was putting on. even though i new it was out of my hands ( most days my feet feel like im walking on glass from the toxins of Gleevec) just do your best..and yes..drink lots of water..and if you cant go far then buy or hire a walker..and do bits of walking when you can through out the day. your doing great..
