Hello All,

Has it been a week already? A popular T-shirt in the Caymans is " Time

flies when you're having rum! "

I thoroughly enjoyed my week of un-winding and SCUBA diving with my cousin.

A really special treat though was meeting a fellow CMLer Penny. Penny is a

lovely person (aren't we all?) and it was truly wonderful to meet her after

all this time of exchanging e-mails and chatting through messenger

from time to time. I would have loved to spent more time with her, but the

good news is I will definitely go back, so I will be seeing Penny again - no

doubt.

The Caymans are still re-building after the devastation of Hurricane Ivan,

but it sure is a beautiful place and all of the people I met were very

friendly and nice. Some of the finest SCUBA diving is right there in the

Caymans. We went to Eden Rock, Devils Grotto, Turtle farm and Armchair to

name a few places. We saw lots of tropical fish and even the occasional

barracuda - (which is a bit nerve wracking, but nice just the same).

I will upload a picture of my cousin and I SCUBA diving (I have the yellow

fins). We were helping a very young cousin with a school project. Our

cousins daughter is in grade 3 and her class is reading a book called " Flat

Stanley " . It is a story about a boy who is " flattened " when a bulletin

board falls on him. After a little while he learns all that it isn't so bad

being flat, because his parents can put him in an envelope and send him off

on adventures. Each child in the class has made their own " Flat Stanley "

and shipped him off to friends and relatives who take him on an adventure

and send him back to my cousin. " Our " flat Stanley " has been to Hawaii and

now to the Cayman's. We took him SCUBA diving and then we took him to

" Hell " , a town in the Cayman's. I have brought him back with me to

Montreal and hopefully this weekend I will take him with me when I go hiking

up Mt. Washington. Then I will send him back to my cousin in New York.

Thanks to all your good wishes - wish you could have all been there with me.

Love and blessings!

Cheryl-Anne
