Hi everyone,

Monday after looking at the CT my onc. said he was sending me an

antibiotic because he was afraid I had pnemonia and that he was

sending me to the hospital to have to fluid drawn off and tested. I

asked him if I should take Dyazide and he said no. I want you to have

this fluid removed and tested. Tuesday I went out-patient and had

this procedure done.I won't go into that process not fun. I am still

in so much pain. I don't know if it was the procedure or if the

fluid is back already.I did not hear from him yesterday. Meanwhile I

am not working, don't really feel any better taking antibiotic and

waiting. Would'nt you think when the fluid left 16 oz by the way it

would not hurt anymore. Now my mind is running wild. Mentally I am a

basket case. I haven't had Gleevec in 5 days per his partner I keep

thinking meanwhile my counts are rising by the hour. My Mother had

lung cancer and all her symptoms were the same. That is my big worry

also. I just needed to sound off. I have not contacted my Dr. at

Moffitt. What does anyone do when things go wrong contact local Dr

and cancer center or depend on local Dr. to do that. I am losing my

trust real fast.

don't worry about being off of gleevec...my counts didn't start to rise until

after 6 months of being off of it...

I'm sorry for what you're going through...just hang in...if it's a side

effect from the gleevec, it will subside....

take care, andi

Thanks Andi, That is what Zavie told me. The lab results were clear for

abnormal cells. It said I had lung infection. I am to stay on

antibiotic and see Dr. Monday. I took an Advil and it helped some this

morning, but my stomach is so sensitive it along with Antibiotic is too

much. Need I say more. I am going to try to be patient. Thanks for the

encouragement.

Take care,
