Guest guest
Here's another place that provides free legal assistance for those who live in Chicago, have a low income, and have a disability or a familiy member with a disability. They handle different types of cases, including guardianship and special education. The web address and phone number are at the end. Good luck everyone, I have learned a lot from the posts. Miriam McCann Chicago Southside Autism Support Group (a disclaimer -- I don't have any personal experience with this organization) -------------------------------------------------------- Pro Bono Center for Disability and Elder Law Founded in 1984 by the Young Lawyers Section of the Chicago Bar Association and housed by the renowned Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, The Center for Disability and Elder Law (CDEL) is 501 c (3) not-for-profit full-service pro bono legal services organization, serving low-income elderly and disabled Cook County residents. CDEL handles cases in all practice areas, excluding criminal and personal injury law. To accomplish our dual mission, CDEL maintains a model that guarantees the most cost effective and efficient delivery of pro bono legal services in the industry. Indeed, CDEL's proven model is not only results driven, but specifically addresses and meets the challenges of staying innovative and current in the provision of pro bono legal services, while meeting the civil legal needs of our high volume clientele.
