- I really believe that planning is the key to being successful! Good

for you! You can work around taco night - hey how about making it a taco

salad nite for you? Load up on the veggies and lettuce and go light on the

rest and leave the shells behind..... just a thought!

I acutally have it planned to have lots of veggie available and I am allowing

2 shells NO cheese. So I planned on breaking up the shells and putting them

in the salad type of thing. WITH very little meat. If I can just have the

TACO taste it would be satistying.

I did buy fat free cheese. If I do good today maybe I will add some. I have

to restock my cabinets with fat free and better choices.

Why no cheese? I buy the lower in fat Mexican cheese in the grocery

store with a coupon and use just a little bit - enough to give a

plate of food that little zing.

You've got to get your dairy in somehow, right?

Oh, crap! Thanks for the reminder! I forgot I also have to hit the

grocery store to get more of the low-fat mozzarella cheese for

tonight's pizza!

I *knew* there was somewhere I had to go after the doctor this

morning!

Know what is great for a cold WONTON soup. It helped me about a month ago.

Waving Hi to everyone else from Wisconsin!

Today I am staying home from work. I am sick as a dog still. I have a

cold. And for some reason I am really hungry today. I think its because

my throat feels better when I am eating some thing. I made up some kool

aid pop's and hope that sucking on one or two will help me feel better.

I did have chicken soup for lunch. And I may have more chicken soup for

supper too. Its hard to starve a fever / feed a cold and still stay on

my diet.

Keep your germs over your way. I woke up with similar symptoms, but

as the day went on things kind of faded away, so it must be some type

of allergy.

>And for some reason I am really hungry today.

Don't you just hate days like that, when nothing you eat will satisfy

you? Luckily they don't happen to me as often as they once did.

Jewish Penicillin! One of my favorite sick-day meals. I always add

extra garlic to mine, too, and a wee dash of hot pepper sauce. Really

gets the sinuses flowing. :)

Nope! No cop out. We all have to do what feels right for us. For me that

means weighing twice a day. For others that mean throwing out the scale.

> Every morning I

> wake up and RECOMMIT then I start about 10 am. I hate myself by 2 pm.

I **hate** being in that cycle. Been there done that so many times. You

think " ok I just need one good day and I can get back on track " but making

that one good day happen seems impossible. How about if you lower your

expectations? Just focus on something that you can handle. How about

something like " I will drink 3 glasses of water today. " Or " I will park one

row farther away from work then I usually do. " When we're struggling we

need to set ourselves up for success, not failure.

We can do this! Baby steps will take longer but you won't be nearly as

tired when you arrive. :)

Gee, I hope that's not contagious. Next week I'm making a big pot of chili

on Wednesday and already plan on using the leftovers for Thursday's dinner,

too.

Sounds like fun. We had very cold weather for Christmas with some snow

flakes.... IN HOUSTON! :) and then back to shorts and t-shirts with it

being warm and humid. Blech. Now it's cold and rainy. We can't ride bikes

but no darn excuse for not using my treadmill.

Great job exercising!! Remember that when you gain you need the meeting

even more than when you lose. :)

Gotta get ready to take Lynn to school and Vonn to the Children's Museum for

playgroup. Should be fun. :) Tomorrow will be a drag since I have an 8

hour workshop on teaching high school kids electricity. Anything to meet

people and learn more for my new career.

My WW meetings were generally pretty useless, but I did hear this and it made sense (for those that enjoy the camaraderie of a meeting):

If you gained weight, you need the meeting. If you lost weight, the meeting needs you.

I hope today is going better than yesterday, AND that you got the money

thing straightened out. Have fun at the birthday dinner tomorrow. Do you

know where you're going yet and what foods you'll choose?

And don't forget to allow a few calories for birthday cake!

Common side effect of anesthesia, but probably 10 times worse for you

because you had your nose all packed.

Just make sure your husband or kids don't take a picture of you in that

thing to blackmail you with in the future. LOL

Just be sure to take it nice and easy the next few days. Is your husband

taking off work today to help out? At least he should be home for the

weekend, right?

If he knows what's good for him he will! LOL

>Happy moms day to all.

You, too, . We're going to spend it probably at Best Buy trying to

return the kid's ipod that died yesterday - only 2 months old, too.

>Oh ya more rain for the northeast. YUGH...

I just loved it yesterday when the weatherguy said we're getting a typical

Nor'Easter, but with rain instead of snow. Gee, thanks! It's been so COLD

here the past few days I wouldn't be surprised if we did get snow!

OMG I forgot about that part :) My roomate had this surgery recently. I kept

calling him

" Doc " cause it looked like a little mini-medical mask :D

Glad to hear you're doing well, even with the little bumps - just don't bump

your nose!

He will be home all weekend. He was going to go to a race tonight right next door to the house. BUT he got out of work late and decided to stay home. His heart really was not into it. So we will hang this weekend. I am working him for a new camcorder. LOL a DVD one.
