Hi Cheryl-Anne,

I got a rapid reply from Dr. Bubalo (for others, the oncology

pharmacist at OHSU) which means he has probably been asked before and

did not need to research it. Here is what he said:

Hi

Wheatgrass does not appear to have any problems as far as interacting

with gleevec or CML. It should be fine to take as long as she takes

her gleevec 2 hours away from it since the effects on gleevec

absorption are unknown. It does cause stomach upset in some people so

if she already has that from her gleevec this is not a supplement that

may work well for her in the long run.
