Dear Friends of CIG and Discussion Group Members,

Let me begin by wishing you all good HEALTH during this holiday season and

for many years to come!

How important this word has become, hasn't it?

I've had a few setbacks recently, will be off line for a short while, but

hope to get over them soon and be active with you going forward.

Our plans for the coming year are:

· A continuation of our web site;

· A maintenance of our downstream information channel via all the

CIG member e-mail addresses;

· Increased membership in our two discussion groups (which have

grown hugely in the last year);

· More local working groups and increased programs for them;

· CIG-sponsored teleconferences and events and participation in

the educational programs organized by the Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF);

· Our continued collaboration with LRF - Over 10,000 copies of LRF’

s CLL Patient Guide (the “Red Bookâ€) were distributed nationwide;

· Support of LRF's CLL Research Initiative.

As many of you know, LRF Board member, Prince and his family have

established the Prince Family CLL/SLL Lymphoma Research Challenge Grant and

are committed to matching donations, dollar for dollar, up to $1.5 million

for translational research targeting CLL/SLL. This ongoing challenge

grant was established in memory of 's father who died two short years

after being diagnosed.

And that, my friends, brings me to my year end appeal. If you find the

information and educational programs we provide to be helpful, I hope you

will consider making a gift LRF’s CLL Research Initiative today. Remember,

any gift you make will be doubled!
