The important thing to remember about prognostic factors is that they only predict for how a population of patients will do. The curves generated do not tell us how one individual will do. The most important indicators to follow are symptoms, lymphadenopathy, anemia, and low platelets. These are the things that are going to indicate when someone needs to be treated. Many patients with CD38 remain stable for very low periods of time. _______________________________________
