possible transformation to agressive lymphoma

My husband was diagnosed with SLL about a year ago. By in

large he was doing quite well except maybe of one incident

of pneumonia. However, about a month ago he started to

develop symptoms of bladder infection and was diagnosed with

prostatitis. He was given a course of antibiotics which

seemed to help him, but he started sweat heavily at night,

developed fever and fatigue. PET scan revealed enlarged

lymph nodes brightly lit up in chest, abdominal and pelvic

areas, a few in clavical area. The biopsy was performed on

Friday, 11/26, of the clavical nodes that were easily

accessible.

The pathology report that was done next day still showed

CLL/SLL. His LDH level increased rapidly every day. In

March of this year it was 216, on 11/22 it was 800, on 11/24

it was 935 and on 11/28 it was 1300. Based on rapidly

worsening symptoms and high LDH he was admitted to the

hospital on 11/28 and started EPOCH-R treatment for

aggressive lymphoma. Another biopsy was performed 24 hours

after the treatment was started ( core needle CT guided

biopsy of pelvic lymph node ) and it also was consistent

with SLL.

My question is how likely we are dealing with transformation

if biopsy results didn't confirmed it?
