Guest guest
Hi Marietta - a fellow patient's response: My guess is that, with some B symptoms, and marginal blood numbers, your disease is showing some activity. Neither WBC 2.5 or HGB 10.4 are alarming, but they are both lowish. I would agree with your hematologist that you are not in a crisis, but I would be careful to see what the numbers do next. So I would put my money not on an inflammation of unknown origin, but on the disease itself. I would recommend very careful watching. If the nodes in your abdomen (which I assume are not causing you any problems or discomfort) show significant growth in a few months, that might be an indicator. Further drops in HGB would also be worrisome. I do not remember your previous treatments, but PCR might indeed be a way to go. It's fairly benign. If you have not had a lot of Fludara or Rituxan before, it would certainly be worth a shot, without significant damage to your system. But, go slow..... Get a sneak peek of the all-new AOL.com.
