Guest guest Posted December 2, 2010 Report Share Posted December 2, 2010 Interesting look at using steroids in lenalidomide (Revlimid) treatment to reduce tumour flare in CLL by Asher Chanan-Khan MD et al of Roswell Park. They state: " In patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), treatment with lenalidomide induces a unique, previously uncharacterized, immune response called tumor flare reaction (TFR). The clinical significance of this reaction remains unknown. " They go on to say that it can be handle better by the use of prophylactic steroids...
