He highly recommends it and thinks RBC health is the key to recovery. It is very expensive. Someone said that Klimas did a trial with EPO but the hematocrit (sp) levels got too high for some. Klimas is the doc for my friend who claims 'recovery' and he is going to have her do all of his blood work again now and compare it to two years ago when he still had symptoms and before the EPO. Write me if you want his email address. Mike

Guest guest
Hi, , >Has anyone tried this? I think it is for red blood cells to help with >anemia?? Haven't used it, but know what it is. EPO is brand-name (Rx) erythropoeitin (sp?) - the hormone/growth factor that caqlls for the bone marrow to make more red cells. It is usually Rxed for anemia associated with chemo for cancers. It is made from recombinant bacteria, so there is no risk of infection with HIV, HepB/C/D/E/F, etc. Jerry ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com

EPO is a shorthand for erythropoeitin (generic drug name Epetin Alfa), marketed under the names Epogen (Amgen) and Procrit (Ortho). It is used to raise RBC number. Label indications - uses that the FDA has given its blessing to after much testing & $ - are anemia in chronic renal failure (whether on dialysis or not); Zidovidine-treated HIV patients; and cancer patients on chemotherapy. EPO is also used for evening primrose oil. So on this list, we need to be careful to distinguish - most others can figure from context. Guest guest
I don't think that large of a change is common. EPO is estrogenic and so it does increase bust size, but most people notice much less increase than that. There are herbs that do this also, which is what the product seen all over TV, called Bloussant, is about. I would like to caution ladies on this tho. If you have a history of breat cancer in your family, even natural estrogen increasers can be a problem. So proceed with caution. Guest guest
Duly noted. She has a bad reaction to tri-estrogen shots a couple years back. Made her put some weight on her hips and thighs. Now she has gone back to normal, but the inch loss was slow. The ozone sauna helped her to detox it out. It literally came out of her thighs black. Toxins? Estrogen? Her mom had breast cancer 20 years ago but is still living now. jp I don't think that large of a change is common. Good going! ********* Okay, I have been working on the self acceptance thing for a couple years while healing now, but I will definitely add the EPO to see what happens. It will probably help in more ways than one. Thanks for sparking the interest! Patty

Guest guest
I assume this means that men with prostate issues should probably not use EPO. She has MS and that's how she came across the EPO. She also wrote in the book of her unexpected increase in bustline. First US edition May 1984 Thorsons Publishers Inc. ISBN 0 7225 0743 7 Hope that's correct, my copy is old and a bit beat up Judy Graham also wrote a book on MS, " Multiple Sclerosis-A Self Help Guide To Its Management " Happy Oiling!
