Guest guest
summarized it.. I've been on the site for 3 yrs. and have leared a lot, although from about 25% of the messages, What keeps cropping up are some folks who fall into traps, such as sending messages intended for one that is sent to the group. Also, we have to witness upsmanship with info unrelated to CLL. No one wants to waste precious time with head battles or personal notes and acknowledgements..To our advantage, more so recently, with newer members (I'm not naming them, you know who you are) the research material, and new clinical trials, web sites, and Cll info is being shared. I admire the responses from those " in the know " who help new people, suggest top notch places for treatment, and sometimes save a patient from bad medical advise. Dr. Furman is great at doing this. For those of us who like to follow links supplied by our wonderful and knowledgeable members, we appreciate the sharing. However, the back and forth messages that drag out a topic is causing some of us to consider dropping out. had promised a while back to intervene and this is why I remained. A major problem is because of the number of irrelevant messages, I delete, sometimes throwing out the baby with the bath water. All have rules that are periodically sent out to remind everyone. I suggest that rules be sent out to the members whenever this occurs, and also on a regular basis (once a month) as is done by other . If the rules are not spelled out to convey what's considered helpful messages, perhaps they should be. Members could be asked by to proof and contribute content to a set of rules. Everyone could profit by doing this and it would lead to a better retention rate, . Your thoughts. Marilyn Barbera ..
