Guest guest Posted July 14, 2010 Report Share Posted July 14, 2010 Has anyone on this list gotten a bacterial infection from broken skin caused by a mosquito bite, or scratch, etc..? What happened and what did you do about it? I should have remembered to totally disinfect the bite on my leg, now it's a little red and irritated, and I'm worried. I take regular showers and thought nothing of it until today. Seems like we ALWAYS need to remember that we immunocompromised, everywhere on our bodies. I usually do, never touching doorknobs in public without a tissue or using my clothing to grab them, and wash my hands constantly. I thought nothing of the little mosquito jab, now I'm worried.
