Guest guest
CIG (CLL Information Group) was established a little over a year ago. The idea is to gather our voices together and get more attention than we usually do. We've had some pretty nice successes. Two teleconferences with great doctors, and in October the LRF (Lymphoma Research Foundation) allowed themselves to be convinced to add an extra session on SLL/CLL at their annual Educational Seminar. Most recently CIG has actually formed a collaborative agreement wit LRF, I just signed it yesterday. This will give us a lot of visibility as time goes along. When we get larger, we can have chapters in various places, and do things physically, not by telephone. SLL-CLL-edu, which was actually established long before CIG, is slowly going to become the Internet discussion group of CIG (at least that's my plan and hope). Bill, I'll send you a copy of the announcement I sent out a few days ago. If you have any questions, you can e-mail me privately if you wish. Guest guest
Hi and everyone, At the LRF Conference in Atlanta they said that they were rethinking the markers for staging CLL/SLL and that they were going to come out with new guidelines in January (I believe). Has anyone heard anything about the results of this shift? Carole from Vermont, age 60 W/W
