Guest guest
Thanks to all those folks who responded to my question re teleconference versus physical meeting. I guess we are not yet numerous enough in any one geographical area to begin physical meetings, hence the preparation for the teleconference with Dr. Keating. I need your help. I'm very anxious to get the distinction between CIG and SLL-CLL-edu a bit clearer. CIG will be the " dog " and SLL-CLL-edu will be the " tail " and a " piece of the dog " . That is to say, CIG will be the administrative organization, setting up teleconferences, meetings, getting some funds, etc. SLL-CLL-edu will be a way for CIG members to communicate with each other as we have been doing, on important medical issues. Ideally, therefore, one should be a member of both, unless you do not wish to take part in any discussions. What will then happen is that announcements and events will be done via CIG, chats via SLL-CLL-edu. Where I need your help is this: If you get two copies of this e-mail, one from SLL-CLL-edu and another addressed directly to you from me, then you are already on both lists, you need to do nothing. (Eventually the double e-mailing will stop). If you get this only through SLL-CLL-edu, that means I do not have you on my CIG list. Then I would very much appeciatre an e-mail from you to _jb50192@..._ (mailto:jb50192@...) , with your name, city, state, and ZIP, so that I can put you on the CIG list. Thirdly, if you get this e-mail only from me, not through SLL-CLL-edu, that means you are already on the CIG list and you need do nothing (unless you wish to join the discussions on the SLL-CLL-edu page; If this is the case, e-mail me and I will tell you how to do it). Please help me with this, as it will be CIG, and our association with the LRF, that will give us the horsepower with the establishment and help us as a group in the future. Many thanks,
