I could only afford to get a weeks worth of Gleevec $980.00( and some change). Today I picked up a months supply of the Gleevec $888.00 (and change) as I get closer to my deductible of $2200 then the cost is reduced to 20%. I wonder what the new drugs will cost as they get approved? Probably as expensive if not more then the Gleevec? Who really knows..... I have to take the medication so I have no choice as this point in time. I am grateful that I have a choice in taking a pill but the cost is something I struggle with. I just wanted to vent I guess. I think this ( for me) beats having a BMT. I dont think mentally or physically I am ready for that. I hope that choice never has to be made. (for my circumstance, I am speaking).
