Guest guest
Chonette, My own personal opinion of your treatment is that you have been very intelligent with your chosen protocol of starting with Chlorambucil (low dose) along with the low dose prednisone etc. You have obviously stayed away from the dangerous and very harmful chemotherapy that you were advised to take and you have bought precious time for your life and for keeping 'disease' at bay until something better can come along for you. AND, to think that you still have not taken Rituxan. How wonderful. That should be your next step whenever possible as you well know. By the time you have to take it perhaps the proper supplements will be proved as to which is the best to take with Rituxan to make it work 10 times better even. I applaud your good sense against all the odds and against all the advice of most researchers and doctors everywhere. The world and most doctors are much too anxious to treat with dangerous and harmful drugs when the mild treatments are available now. You and I are among the few who have trusted in Chlorambucil in today's world and done properly it is the most sensible way to start in terms of less or no damage while buying time before taking heavy damaging Chemotherapy. Just my opinion, but you and I are living proof of it's viable and powerful effect of treatment " before " taking dangerous Chemo's that damage the immune system.. Don't worry, no one can take anything without their doctors approval and agreement to go along with the treatment. Just remember, anyone of you out there are legally and morally and medically able to take Chlorambucil any time you want to take it, whether or not your doctors agree with you. My best advice is always to get a doctor with an open mind who gives you honest and complete medical information and then asks you " What do you want to do? " My best to you Chonette, I'm so glad things are going well. Kurt

Guest guest
I'm truly sorry you're having all this trouble, you're a valuable contributor. I use AOL for my group postings, both for CIG and for . I do have Outlook Express for my non-medical stuff and have never had a problem with replying to anything. I'm not a techie but my guess is that the problem lies with a setting in Outlook Express, rather than with . I would review my OE settings, perhaps it does not allow you to respond to a group. Have you had a "chat" with an OE tech? I'll bet they can clear it up.
Guest guest
For Chonette's friends who aren't on the ACOR list. Re: Chonette I visited Chonette this afternoon at the Royal Free Hospital where she is undergoing treatment with Campath and Fludarabine and eventually Melphalan, before her SCT next week. She is taking the treatment very well and is in good spirits. She promised to write a report to the List after the transplant and sends her love to everyone. Guest guest
Chonette Good. news! I received a note from Chonette today. Her doctors continue to be pleased with her progress. She is very tired and asked me to pass the information on to the list. I know that she appreciates all of the your words of encouragement and support. Guest guest
Great news. Chonette continues to do very well and is amazing the doctors (no surprise there). She is starting to feel more like herself and back to knitting. There is a chance that she will go home this week, home being her children's flat, so they can take care of her while she regains her strength. So far she is not having trouble with side effects. She has lost her hair and is becoming and expert at scarf styles as she finds scarves easier to deal with in the hospital. She mentioned having heard from many people and I know that the support is appreciated. It's so nice to be able to pass on this kind of news!!!!
