Guest guest
Hi , Thank you for letting us know. I feel very sad for that guy. I wonder what kind of implants they were and if there are different kinds, and if he could try a different kind or there is not too much choice. My daughter is wearing a band for a second month. She is 15 months old now and not growing that fast anymore. My husband says he can see some progress. I remain silent because if there is a progress I don't want to scare it away (sounds crazy:-). Hopefully our medicine will come up with some kind of solution for those who missed the chance to get this problem corrected with a helmet therapy. And hopefully it will happen very soon. Guest guest
He just said plagio was something he would have to live with the rest of his life. I told him to come back and post here because people were wondering how he was doing and hoping everything went well. Maybe we'll hear from him. He wants to help fight the insurance companies. > Thank you for updating us !!!! > Did he say what his next step would be? > Kendra > Implants > > > I just wanted to let eveyone know I got an email from the 27 year > old guy who had an implant to correct his plagio. Guest guest
Yikes - how terrible for him! First to go through the ridicule, then to go through the trauma of getting implants only to have to have them removed!! Marci
Guest guest
Some women are immediate responders and some take a long time. It is our own hereditary make up that determines this, along with the amount of exposure to silicone and other toxins. Guest guest
Personally do you know allot of women with implants? The thing I think is that I don't so I don't really know how many have issues and just don't talk about it. When I was ill I did not go around talking about my illness so people assumed I was fine. How many are really having problems that they don't talk about ??? Who really knows right? I also don't think we see the ones that are really sick running around either, I mean they are not the ones we see in the gym working out most likely. It is a combination of things, No i don't think everyone gets ill, but I also don't think that the number of women getting ill is really known and yes I think it is higher than we realize. I also bet my life that allot of famous people who simply cannot get rid of their implants, will use pain meds, other drugs, etc to get through the pain and keep the implants, to some of these starlettes implants are their bread and butter, so they have no choice. Pills like vicodin, oxycontin, and ilegal drugs, will numb the pain and that is why I look at women like Whittney Houtson, Melody Griffith, , who are all obviously on drugs and all have implants and wonder if they are taking that stuff to get through the suffereing of the implants. we wil probably never know because the fact is that they are not going to talk about it and risk ruining their carrreers. Most of the women I have known with implants are ok, seemingly but they have not had them that long. anyhhow that is my take on it. Guest guest
It could also be the implants themselves, a bad batch with too much of something in it, who knows, maybe the oil that leaks into us at the time of implantation. These were a few things Feng mentioned to me. In , Lynda <coss@p...> wrote: > Some women are immediate responders and some take a long time. Guest guest
Here is my two cents, I believe that because my amune system is so stong (Dr. Brodsky said I have one of the strongest amune systems he has every seen), my body rejected the implants right away. Than there are women that it takes longer for there body to kick in and try to get rid of the implants. Women that have a leak of toxic saline Women that have a leak of silicon. Both of these can happen at anytime from months to many years. In fact, I have read many stories where women have had implants in for years with no trouble and than after trama like mamogram to the breast they have become ill. I have some friends with implants and they do have health problems, but will not even consider it to be the implants. One of my friends was so ill that at one point they thought she had aids. Her wbc was so high. She also has a thyroid problem, and has been told she has lupus. I mention and mention " do you think it could be your implants " she always says there is no way. she has had them so long and never had any trouble. ??????????????????????? I have another friend who has had implants for 20 some years. Her boobs are so senitive she can't wear a bra. She has lupus, RH, and many off the other things we suffer from. Her contective tissue in her spine is dissacrating and she takes over 5 vicdin a day. Does she think its caused by her implants NO. I believe there are more women out there like this than we know about. An these couple I have just told you about know what I went through and still don't believe that implants could be the cause of there illness's. Guest guest
I got sick after my c-section also! I believe there are several women on this site that have gotten sick after the birth of there babies. It would be interesting to find out exactly how many have the same experience. i think it's more than a coincidence, it either has to do w/ hormones or a lowered immune system at that time, (in my opinion). I was always very healthy prior to my pregnancy, i'm like a completly different person, as far as my health is concerned. If any one else got sick during or after pregnancy, please reply. thank you! Guest guest
, It just goes to show doctors don't know everything. I don't know if we will ever know the anwer to this question. Both theroys make so much sence. The one thing that does seem to always come up is that when the immune system is overtaxed by surgery, trama or illness there is a more likely chance the body will not be able to handle the implants any longer. Wish you were joining us this weekend, would love to meet you too. Love Cricket >

Guest guest
Cricket I often have thought that exact same thing, that i have too good of an immune system and this may not be just my opinion it may be reality. I can share here because you are all my sisters, that I was into allot of bad things years ago, including abuse of drugs, and that I feel my body got used to having to work hard to clean my system out of foreign toxins, after being clean and healthy for a few years and then getting those implants i feel my body went into its usual defense mode like when it was battling my habits and attacked those implants, but when it could not get rid of them it went biserk. It is a theory I have had for awhile and not sure I shared it before, but hell I have no shame in my past or what I have done. Guest guest
For years part of my immune system was overactive (I never got a cold for 5 years) and part was underactive. It is weird how that works. I still have parts that are underactive, but I think the overactive stuff is gone. Guest guest
LM, Jim Brodsky was a pharmcist and owned the pharmacy in the small town of Villa Park for over 25 years. I have know him since I was 18 and I am now 47. So he knows all about percripiton drugs. He is also is a board cerified naturopathic physician specializing in natural medicines. He is on the teaching staff of three universities and is on staff at the university of southern California school of pharmacy. He has also published articles on natural medicine in national medical journals. and he speaks nationwide on natural medicine. He was involved in the developement of cleanseing products for Health Plus inc. I think he is so wonderful, he is one of the kindness men. He really cares about the people who go and see him. I know that he is not in this for the money (he has plenty) He just loves doing it and helping people. In fact last month he went over to Catilina,(small island town off the shores of LA and did the live blood cell to over 75 elderly free of charge. hope this helps. Guest guest
: You're not alone, I did a lot of drugs as a teen and I'm surprised I did not end up dead.I've been "clean" except for one time(a smoked a little pot and got sick on it) for 11 years.I used drugs in high school and my freshman year of college.Back in the grunge days of the early 90's drugs were everywhere. I often wonder if drug use in the developmental stages of adolescence can lend to endocrine problems? My guess is it would have some sort of impact. Guest guest
Zazana, Im glad you found us. Kacey is doing a great job at getting the word out. I too wish I had gotten this info before I got implants, it would have saved all the pain I went through. Because of finding this site over a year ago, and talking with these wonderful women, I was explanted and am 90% better. I have my life back again. I have mixed emotions about the whole ordeal. Had I never been implanted ,I never would have gotten sick but than I never would have met such wonderful friends. This has truely been a mixed blessing. You have come to the right place. Everyone here will help you in your jounery. You can get better, and be happy after explanting. Guest guest
Zuzana, Your symptoms are so typical of so many women. Some women are early responders, and find that basically their body rejects the implants and they have symptoms very soon after being implanted. You sound like one of those. I think you will find that your symptoms are so much less quite soon after explant. Lynda At 09:22 AM 6/24/2004, you wrote: >Zazana, > >Im glad you found us. Guest guest
Zuzanna weclome to our little site. My name is and I along with Patty have been moderating this site for about 4 years. I was not the moderator at all for many of those years, I was just another young, sick, formerly healthy single woman who had gotten implants thinking how it would fix my post motherhood body and instead wound up sick. I got sick within about 2 1/2 to 3 months and had my implants for a total of 18 months before I got them out and began the long and hard journey towards health. I know it seems so difficult to get there, and it is so frustrating because you just spent all that money to get those boobs, and if they came out nice(mine did not and I still did not want to give them up) it is even harder to think of giving them up. I finally just came to the conclusion and many things in my life steered me that way, to remove the implants. I think that if you stick around here for a while you also will become convinced that you need to remove them. Gosh I was only away from the site for a few days and so many new girls popped up, I feel terrible for not being here, but I was busy with working overtime and then getting ready for a white water rafting trip(another example of something I would not be doing had it not been for removing the implants) and so I had not been on to see if there were any people lke you needing advice, and apparently Patty and the other girls are gone too, so I feel bad about not being here. Anyhow don't worry they will all be back soon and I will too. Our trip is only till Tuesday and then I will check in to see more of what your going through. If you can post before 1pm today I may have a chance to get on here once more later on. I just want to know where you are again and what your circumstances are so I can be of further help to you regarding explant and a Dr in your area etc. There are allot of good Dr's but they tend to be far from most of us and many of us ended up traveling to get our implants out. For the most part as a rule the implanting PS is often times not the best choice for explant. Not always, but usually they will try to talk you out of it, tell you it is not the implants, and tell you how bad that you will look. They are rarely right, most women, esp young women, bounce back extremely well, but even older women I have seen their breasts just look fabulous after explant. Good heavens Cricket looks amazing and I know she says it is cause she gained weight but she is still really tiny and has allot of breast tissue, so it really depends. Have you looked in our photo section to see what everyone looks like? we have group get together photos and also some good explant progression shots of allot of us, like me, that gives you a good idea what you will look like after explant, depending on your body type. At any rate I want to answer a few more posts, but had to let you know that I am thinking of you, will pray for you, and hope that you will come back and tell me more abut yourself and your situation. I want to help, we all do. hugs In , Lynda <coss@p...> wrote: > Zuzana, > > Your symptoms are so typical of so many women. Guest guest
I have been reading allot of post with people having dental problems and was thankful I did not have the same problem, I mean before CML I had very healthy teeth. Well....Now I have something that resembles a whole in one of my upper front teeth, and it is spreading to my other upper front teeth. So despite slacking a bit trying to find a dentist, I know sometime next week I have to have this looked at and see what can be done to fix it. Lucky for me I do not smile much anymore and when I do I do not show my teeth.(Never have for some reason even before this issue.) I was told by my Oncologist that if a dentist or an oral surgeon gives me the runaround because of my CML to give them their office number and they would let the dentist know I am not going to bled out in his chair or whatever they are scared of and it is safe for them to treat me, because my platet levels are fine. He even told me I could get a tattoo..lol. I decided against it since I am now 42, and if I did not get one those years I was singing in rock bands why get one now..rotfl. Besides I still hate needles even though I have had to get used to them..hehe. I do have a question for anyone that might know. I can call Medicare but if someone in the group knows it will save me from waiting on hold. Does Medicare pay anything on dental work? If so do they pay on these implants, or a permanent bridge? If not anyone know the cost of these implants? I know they used to be outragous but I am hoping they have came down in price and if what is causing this to happen cannot be stopped or my front three teeth cannot be saved I can afford them or that bridge thing. I know it sounds vain, but I have always had great strong teeth until the last few months. I just am having a hard time right now with facing possibly having to get dentures at 42. I mean I have stopped dating, but still care about my appearance. I rarely leave my house now until this is fixed even though you cannot see it unless I show it to someone. I admit I have been hiding my head in the sand hoping the problem would be fixed by brushing more and using anti-septic mouthwash more than after I brush my teeth, but saddly the hole is growing and now the stuff is spreading to my other upper front teeth. The strange thing is it does not hurt and trust me if you saw it you would wonder why I am not in severe pain. Saddly I am thinking I will have to get lucky to find a dentist that will take a down payment and let me finance the rest. The one thing I have managed to still keep is my decent credit rating...lol.
