The protocol called for four weekly infusions with pre-meds. Over the last three years I took the same protocol as maintenance. Five protocols in all. All protocols have a very definate pattern. After the first infusion, the nodes began to shrink. When that happens, my WBC raises in the peripheral blood stream. About a week after my fourth infusion, the big fall in WBC happens. The Rituxan will be active about eight weeks after the last infusion. Hope this helps...Remember, we all may not react in the same way. All my infusions were non events.
