Should I be concerned about Whooping Cough?

Hi, I am in W & W for a year and a half now. My WBC count has gone from

19K to 41K in that time. Of more concern could be my neutrophils which

have dropped from 8000 6 months ago to 5400 now.

I am a 4th grade teacher in a class where two of my students have

tested positive for Whooping Cough. I called my oncologist who said I

should be able to fight off anything with my neutrophil levels.

Does anyone have any knowledge of the effect of this disease on CLLers?

Should I be taking any precautionary antibiotics? I don't often post,

but am an avid reader on here.
