Guest guest Posted January 10, 2009 Report Share Posted January 10, 2009 Judy, You do have an adequate number of neutrophils (anything greater than 1500 or 1.5)to fight an infection. You are also probably immune to whooping cough given your age, etc. Whooping cough is also more of an issue for younger kids because of the size and shape of their airways.
