As often happens, I think I may not have expressed myself clearly. It is true

that for the treatment of AIHA and other autoimmune disorders of the blood and

for countless other illnesses etc. Prednisone by itself is not a very effective

treatment in terms of being long lasting. However, Prednisone or other

sterioids have proven that they are most valuable and indeed an integral part of

creating long lasting effects for these same disorders when used in combination

with other meds etc.

So, if you expect help from Prednisone or other steroids, you will most likely

get a temporary dose of help when used by themselves, but a very good dose of

help when used in combination, as you are doing. All that said, for some,

steroids by themselves often times perform miracles......? Also, regardless

of what anyone else thinks, you have used your good sense to grab the best

protocol you can at the moment, using the best information available at this

time. So, just as I did with my own private protocol, you have to give it your

best shot and then go on full steam from there. No one can do any better than

that at any time.

In fact, your main problem in health may be the abnormalities of AIHA or

autoimmune disorder rather than CLL itself as a main focus, which in that case

would put you way ahead on the scale of possible remission. Rituxan will kill a

majority of ills and in your case may give you remission for a very long time.

If nothing else, will probably keep your medical situation under management

control for a long, long time.......and time for us afterall is the the goal

isn't it.

Break a leg today, as they say for good luck in my profession. I'll be keeping

good thoughts for you today.

Cheers and my best regards, Kurt

Re: No problem......

first Pred. - Am hoping for a second taper, if numbers are good - Best,
