Hi everyone,

My specialist told me that there was research being done into the

effects of Viagra on achalasia patients last year. We had a bit of a

laugh about it - I could just imagine my oesophagus standing straight

and tall after taking it!!!!

I don't know if it would become a viable alternative, because the

effects last for about an hour which means you would have to take

Viagra prior to every meal!

Rob,

I don't know of any contra-indication. In fact, there are test tube

studies and case reports of PDE5 inhibitors like Viagra, Levitra, and

Cialis increasing apoptosis in CLL, though it has not proven to be of

clinical importance as far I know.

Of course, check w your doc first.

Be well

During one of my visits to Dr. Furman he and I had a laugh about the studies

which show ED treatments suppress CLL. Even if they don't suppress CLL I'd give

one a go.
