Guest guest
Hi Susie I just wanted to wish you good luck with starting BMS this week. I have read of your problems with glivec, you poor t hing. I also appear to be intolerant to glivec and I am going on Thursday for my BMS assessment and if all goes according to plan I will start on March 20th. I can't imagine having to drive for 7 hours to get to see your specialist - it is mind boggling. I live in the London Suburbs and for this trial I have to go to the Hammersmith Hospital which is probably only 15 miles from here but may take an hour to get there in the rush hour. The distances seem so great to us. Do you live in a small town or what? I hope that you don't mind all the questions. Let me know how it goes for you. All good wishes from cold sunny London Dx Mar 05 CCR May 05 Glivec 400mg with a couple of breaks! [ ] The day I start BMS Hi all.. got my date to start BMS trial, 8th March. Guest guest
Hi Susie I will be thinking of you. My husband has been on the study about 2 months with some ups and downs, but I am currently seeing some positive improvements. We have to wait for more testing before we know for sure if it is doing its job. He has had some side effects, but I hesitate to discuss them at much length because everyone is different. Like when I read about some patients that have such pain and dread about their BMB, yet Steve breezed right through his. So just remember, everyone is different and part of your benefit to others will be your honest response and not any preconcieved ideas or anticipations. I look forward to hearing about your progress. All the best to you and your family. Judi & Steve & Susie <leechys@...> wrote: Hi , thankyou for your e-mail. Guest guest
Hi Susie Thanks for your email - just wanted to wish you good luck for your trip tomorrow and all the tests this week. Will you actually get the pills this week? I assume that you can have your blood tests all locally. I received the trial protocol yesterday and it makes quite scary reading but I suppose the drug companies have to spell it all out in black and white. I have the schedule of visits and tests etc......quite something. I am also married to a and I have 3 teenage children. Charlotte is 17, Amelia 15 and Simon is nearly 14.. Keep in touch and let me know how it goes for you. Regards [ ] The day I start BMS Hi all.. got my date to start BMS trial, 8th March.
