Guest guest
That's how they did my biopsy the first time. Guided biopsy they said - HAH. Missed the liver by a country mile they did. No bruising though, quite a bit of pain but they gave me enough painkillers - the only problem with that was CNS depressants have always been my drug of choice. Speaking of which - do you think I'm going to have to find a twelve step program for Sir SpYke the Fuzzy - get him off the catnip? Lordy I hope not. I've never been impressed by them & I hate to think what SpYke would be like after. So glad you're back Deb sweetie & whenever you've got the time or computer access we'll be grateful to hear from you. Love you Toots, SuZieDeb <posttransplant@...> wrote: I'm at Mel's doing ok and miss everyone very much. The last week has been very rough and since my bx. Guest guest
Just wanted to know something. I've noticed that when I have surgery. Yes I had my gall bladder surgery and I'm recuperating nicely now, that the other pain that I have goes away. I was wondering if any of you who have had other surgeries have ever noticed this?? I've had it happen many times now. The Fibro pain stops and so does the back and neck pain (for the most part). I'm thinking that it may have something to do with the Central Nervous System being overloaded with Acute pain from the surgery that it can't process all of the other pain at the same time?? Got any other ideas?? Well I go for my stim surgery the Tues after next. I'm still pretty nervous but better since talking with all of you about it. I will tell the doctor to keep me in the hospital if the pain is unmanagable from the surgery. If not than it is same day surgery and home that afternoon. I have to find someone to take care of my dogs that day because hubby will be with me and the dogs can't stay in the house very long by themselves. Hope all of you are doing okay. , how are you? Haven't heard anything from you for awhile. Take care all, Ruth from Florida sending some sunshine to ya
Guest guest
So, Suz, you skipped the part about why the finger is painful and swollen……… Enquiring minds want to know……. De Re: Hi Gang Hello Great Red One, Just checking in. Weird how quickly an infection can set in these days. I'm sitting here with one hand in hot water with salt in but yesterday I was fine. I needed a reason to go to the walk -in clinic & get a blood test requisition. They don't like you to go for nothing but a test requisition so I decided to tell them my finger was infected - it was a little painful & slightly swollen. Now it's all red & swollen & hot and I'm on antibiotics for a week. And soaking it three or four times a day! Gotta be more careful from here on out. Today it's huge & bright red & I've been soaking it & taking the anti biotics like the doc said. It hurts ! Hugs, SuZie & Sir SpYke the Magnificent - busy bird watching right now.
