Hello Everyone

Glavin of K12academics chris.glavin@... has been

infiltrating Down syndrome egroups in several different ways.

Sometimes he will pose as a family member of a person with Down

syndrome in order to get into your group. And, now, somehow he is

hacking into the egroup's membership list in order to get your

members email addresses.

Glavin seems like a nice guy on the outside. He runs a

website " devoted " to helping others with academic issues and

development delays.

Last year, we learned that Glavin was making this website to

support his drug habit and rap music career. We asked him to not

associate our organization with his site in any way. A few months

later, he posed as a family member and joined our group in order to

spam all of our members to solicite advertising for his site.

We found him and banned him from our group and privately emailed him

telling him not to return.

Yesterday,Jan 25, he somehow infiltrated our group's site and has

gained access to our membership list.

In the past year I have spoken with many moderators of Down syndrome

egroups and each of them were having the same problem.

If Glavin emails you, please report it to at

http://add./fast/help/us/groups/cgi_abuse

Please forward this information to all in your email address book.

Together, we can make him stop abusing the system and gaining access

to our members email addresses. Think about it...if he can get your

email address without even being a member of the group..what other

information could he get?

Thank you

Kristy

I think we all know who he is and have seen a copy of his message by now :)

I was told by another Upsndowns member that he sent email to her at her old

email address - one that she has not used in a long time. So, whatever spam

list he is using could very well be from an old email list.

I think we can drop this now - but, if anyone gets any similiar private

email from an address other than k12academics, please let me know privately.
