Part I, which takes place on June 26th, is entitled, Overview and Treatment Options. The featured speakers are J. Keating, MB, BS, Professor of Medicine, Department of Leukemia, The University of Texas MD Cancer Center; and Kipps, MD, PhD, Professor of Medicine, Deputy Director of Research, University of California San Diego, s Cancer Center. Part II, Complications, Clinical Trials and New Approaches, will take place on July 24th. The featured speakers are R. Furman, MD, Director, CLL Research Center, Weill Cornell Medical College, New York Presbyterian Hospital; and Clive S. Zent, MD, Consultant Hematologist, Associate Professor of Medicine, Mayo Clinic. Both of these workshops take place from 1:30 to 2:30 pm Eastern Time. This Telephone Education Workshop series is presented by CancerCare in collaboration with the CLL Information Group and Lymphoma Research Foundation, as well as the American Cancer Society, American Pain Foundation, American Society of Clinical Oncology, Association of Clinicians for the Underserved, Association of Oncology Social Work, Black Women's Health Imperative, Cancer Patient Education Network, Education Network to Advance Cancer Clinical Trials, Intercultural Cancer Council, Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer, National Center for Frontier Communities, National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship, Pathways to Prevention, Research Advocacy Network and The Wellness Community.
