, I've done the prednisone route for the past almost 3 years and

it reached the point where I would rather be dead than go through its

affect on me again. I became suicidal, lots of problems with

dizziness, headache, myopathy, lost my sense of self (truly!!) and

generally wanted to die. So that's it for steroids. Way too much

anyway!!

I've done the Rituxan too and it only worked a short amount of time.

There is the possibility that doing more weeks would work better as my

cd20 is dim. Arzerra was a possibility too but Medicare doesnt cover

it for me because I've never done and failed Fluderabine or Campath.

I am hemolyzing again rather badly and need to go in today for labs

and possibly Procrit (they'll give it to me if the drop is chemo

related). But I think it takes a week to work???? and my hg will

just continue to drop?????!!

I'm just really upset that the PCR seemed to do so well and it's only

3 weeks out and everything except the wbc is coming back. My spleen

had gone down to 6cm from 16cm and now it's back to about 12cm!!

Rather quickly too. Do you know what the symptoms are for

transformation? Not that i think this is what's happening, but i was

having nightmares all last night trying to figure out what was going

on. Ah, i'm so tired of this AIHA, it just keeps on keeping on like

the energizer bunny. Thanks, Carol
