Bonnie,

Regarding your post about Rituxan and

of Fox Chase. I am looking for a onc who is willing

to use Rituxan as a single agent therapy. I have not

had any treatment yet but am getting closer to the

time for it. My WBC is 77k, stage 0 cll, no other

symptoms yet. I am familiar with the location of Fox

Chase since I used to live nearby. How do you like

? Do you find him knowledgable about

CLL? Do you think he would offer me Rituxan only if

that is what I desired? I want to put off heavy duty

chemo for as long as I can. Also, how do you like Fox

Chase?

Thanks for any opinions you may have,

Connie - My onc, and I are considering every three months. It

seems

to

be the new thing. I know Fox Chase in Phila. uses the every three

months often. Dr. suggested the regiment for me

about a

year ago.

Let me know your decision and how you do.

Rituxan and how given?

Hi friends,

After my resent ct scan, a good inprovment was seen. I have managed

to stick with Rituxan now for 4 years. I do a round of 4

treatments every 6 mo. but not just for the sake of doing it, my

body

says it is in need of a little help. This has not always gotten the

results that were prefered. But I have stuck with the treatment in

the hopes of being able to wait for that " Good thing " comming along

that will give us the results we would really want! I have choose to

be as kind as I can to myself for as long as I can. That being said

my doctor this time is so pleased with the results there was

numerious nodes that were much smaller so it is a much better

responce than we got last time. My doctor now wants me to go on a

program he says that is showing good results in a couple of other

countrys. This would be as follows: one single treatment every three

months. My question is I have not found much at all about this and

want to know more and if there may be anyone doing this or that has

heard of this line of treatment.

Thank you for any information that you may be able to share.

Connie

I have sll/cll stage 3, dex in 2000, treated with Rituxan many

times.

Overall felling good but get tired quickly.
