A REMINDER

The teleconference with Dr. Morton will take place on March 3

at 6pm

EST. (I do hope our friends out West will be able to join us also, it's

tough

to set up with the time difference......). We are grateful to Dr.

for

his time and collaboration. This will be the first of several such

events. My

hope is that when people find out about this more will join CIG and we

will be

able to have live events.

The call will last one hour, so hopefully everyone can find the time to

break

away and grab a phone somewhere. We are very lucky to have found an

anonymous

" angel " who is underwriting the cost, so my previous estimate of

5$/person

will not be needed.

There will be a very brief intro, and then the floor will be open to

questions for Dr. . I have already received some questions, they

will get first

shot. Others, please e-mail me questions between now and next week, we

will

try to accommodate as many as possible.

If you have nothing to ask, join us anyway, you'll surely learn

something.

I will be with Dr. , which will make it easier to begin and

moderate

the teleconference. It would help me if you were to send me an e-mail

during

the coming week and let me know of your intent to participate; I'll

have a

better idea of who is on line with us. (Speaking of " on line " this can

also be done

via Internet, but I thought we would keep it simple first time

around.)

Here's what to do: At 6pm EST next Thursday, March 3, dial

1-888-272-7337.

You will be prompted for an ID number. The conference ID number is:

4860999.

That's all, and you're in.

(If you're awake, in the UK, dial 0 800 404 9481, in Australia dial 1

800 076

237, in Ireland 1 800 352 164).

Lets make this a great event, and a great start for CIG.

Me too please - I would love to see a transcript.

I have been following this group for a month with huge interest and I

will definitely post again but have no time right now.

Briefly though - I have Large Granular Lympocytic Leukaemia and was told

right from the start that it is " Leukaemia "

I am 43 years old and having suffered severe rheumatoid arthritis since

age 15 years.

I have the honour of being the only person in New Zealand - to have had

8 total hip replacements ( YES eight!)

as well as double knees and so on ... and so on. I have had huge

battles for the last 27 years but this definitely is the icing on the

cake that I do not want to have.

Hi Mel,

After what you have been through a little Leukemia should be a piece of cake. A

very dear friend of mine has had 5 hip replacements and I wouldn't want to go

through that even once. You have the definite advantage of knowing what

fighting is all about. This one is going to be a goodie but you have already

proven you have the strength. Take it from one who is there, coming out the

other end of the tunnel is WONDERFUL. Just imagine how you would feel if your

Arthritis was cured. There is nothing comparable to finding out you have had

" complete response " According to the experts I was supposed to be dead five

years ago and today I don't have Leukemia. So much for THAT prognosis.
