Tumor Lysis with FR treatment

Dear Ron,

 

In all honesty, the notion of getting a full dose of R (or even a somewhat

reduced dose of R) during the first round having a WBC of 300,000 gave me the

shivers (actual goose bumps).  My husband's WBC was far lower than yours

(although he had moderate to large nodes and a huge spleen, no doubt chocked

full of lymphocytes) when he started FCR.  He had a very rough reaction to R

only 50 minutes in to his treatment at only 50 ml/hr.  Please consider talking

with your oncologist again.
