hello to whoever you are

i am not a dad, my son and his wife have been told that their baby due in may has ds. they are running around looking for "real" information, and so far, are unable to get answers, Their dr., informed them, if they want to terminate the pregnancy they have to decide in six days....at the most.

their questions are many, and the drs, answers are so generic...and i don't know...kind of answers.

where can we find inforation, like what is the worst possible outcome...what can be told by ultra sounds? the last ultra sound they had ...at 20 weeks, showed all is well, except that one foot was slightly turned inward, and that that was nothing significant. the heart, brain, and all organs were good.....what are they looking for...when is change possible....

i am sure you don't have many answers, if you could just tell me something, anything...t or maybe someone who will answer out questions honestly, ,,,to make my heart stop breaking everytime i take a breath...

Kathy, I sent an e-mail with a link to Dominic's website and all of my phone numbers. I hope they decide to continue the pregnancy. I like to think that if they look at the smiling little baby boy I enjoy everyday they'll realize what a horribile mistake they'd be making. I also tried to express that life's not easy and dealing with some of the things we've had to encounter is no picnic, I've also learned that over time it's not the end of the world. These people are lucky. I wish that I would have had a wonderful group of people to support us when we found out about Dominic. Maybe then the last few months of pregnancy and the first few weeks of his life would have been more fun for Ed and I . I regret not enjoying him more as a baby...
