Sorry, it was not the IEP that disqualified hime, it was a special diploma. Don't know why I'm even discussing this. Faith won't be joining the military!

That is so bizarre. When my friend's son tried to enlist he was told he was not eligible because he had an IEP while in school. They said anyone who had had an IEP was ineligible for military service. I have also heard that said by school officials.

Hey you all, I just wanted to assure you that I was only joking when I said we were going to sign up for bootcamp now that she's 18. One poor mom on another list with a 2 yo actually called her husband crying telling him they would have to sign up their little boy with DS when he turned 18....then she cracked up laughing when she figured out it was just my sicko sense of humor. I hope I didn't scare anybody else out there. I really have to learn to keep my keyboard mouth shut. The poor girl.
