Hi Everyone I received this information and thought I would pass it along in case one of you is in the area and interested in participating. Kristy Colvin IMDSA President www.imdsa.com I am a clinical therapist working in a private practice, and working on my dissertation. I'm an currently working on "Ways of Coping of Parents with Children Diagnosed with Special Needs". I am looking for parents of children ages 4-22, in the Highland Heights, (Cleveland), Ohio area with an IQ between 50 & 70. I am on phase 2 of my research which involves parents sorting out a deck of 53 cards containing coping thoughts and behaviors along a continuum of

"most helpful" to "least helpful". It has been taking about 30 minutes. A few parent take a little longer. This project has been approved by the Kent Sate IRB committee and the CCBMRDD Human Subjects committee. If any parents are interested, I need about 30 to finish my research. Parents who are interested in doing the research can email me at thejevnikars@... at The family Center by the Falls. I will be willing to meet people at coffee shops, etc., or I can meet them before or after your support groups. I can even do groups of 3 or 4 or even more at a time. ( I'll need a short notice for more than 3 parents,so I can make up more sorting cards). Thank you! Jevnikar
