For anyone needing a spaghetti substitute I just received the spiral slicer from www.allysacohen.com and it works like magic. can finally have zucchini spaghetti with her special spaghetti sauce. Spaghetti used to be one of her favorite foods and spaghetti squash just doesn't do the trick for her. Because we're on SCD she can't have the corn and rice substitutes. Isn't it wonderful to get so excited by kitchen appliances?

<< this it? It's CHEAP too!!I think I need to ask Santa for one. I can see why you would love this. I think would love one too.>>Yeah this is it....someone mentioned it on pecanbread list...the picture of the zucchini angel hair spaghetti is exactly how it comes out. I LOVE it and I was so thrilled to be able to give jamie some of her beloved spaghetti last night. I kept asking "are you all done?" and she yelled "NO!" I guess you could steam it very briefly to make it a little more soggy but it really doesn't need it. I just lightly salted it and it got softer. But it's not all that crispy to begin with. I confess I ate half of it myself.
