For what it's worth, Dr. L says there is nothing to recommend this

product and not one shred of evidence it works and there is evidence

it may cause damage in DS. He says it is useless and expensive and

the ingredients in it should cost next to nothing instead of being

about $28 an ounce according to one site.

A Friendly Skeptic Looks at Glyconutrients and Ambrotose®

By Dr. Ralph Moss

from CancerDecisions.com Newsletter:

" For Ambrotose in particular, we see an enormous popularity in

publications by and for lay people but nothing listed in the standard

medical literature to substantiate claims of health benefits, at

least not under this particular brand name. To put it mildly, this

isn't very reassuring.

.. . .The main danger I believe is that patients will not only lose

money but will also lose precious time. Cancer is a complex disease.

It requires professional help. Regardless of the sometimes uncaring

attitude of certain errant members of the medical profession, one

should not reject everything that conventional medicine has to offer

in favor of a regimen discovered on the Internet. "

There's much more on the internet and in the archives about this

multi level company and its large claims to cure about anything. I

just hate to see folks spend money on something that's probably a lot

of hype (in my mind anyway) and not much good.

2:42 pm (PST) Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone has any info on Glyconutrients

(Mannatech/Ambrotose) & it's benefit (or no benefit) to Luekemia? Our

friend

who's little girl is going through chemotherapy for Leukemia got some

info

on Mannatech & I'm going to look through it for them. Other kids who

are

going to the same hospital as our friend's little girl, have had

success

with giving Ambrotose to their kids while they are going through

chemotherapy - what I've heard from them so far, sounds good, but I

am leary

about them, so I'm looking for some info!

Thanks,

Qadoshyah >>>>>>>

I so agree. I admit that I am weary of the ambrotose claims going round and round. You can make it yourself if you really want to give it a try. The recipe is somewhere on the net. I was dumb enough to give a whirl with and it did nothing at all. I have only heard one parent give it a thumbs up in 6 years of being on the lists! And I *think* she SOLD the stuff..... I saw that Dr Leshin was asking for parents who had felt 'pressured' by ambrotose sales people's claim it will actually change how a person looks to contact him. Sounds like he is tired of it too?? I would suggest a better way to get all those natural sugars would be to juice with organic items. Consumed right after juicing with no processing... can't beat THAT. :-) Lots cheaper, not to mention tastier.Priscilla <priskend1@...> wrote: For what it's worth, Dr. L says there is nothing to recommend thisproduct and not one shred of evidence it works and there is evidenceit may cause damage in DS.
