Guest guest
From Ideal Lives: Here's a Down syndrome tip I discovered that's been a lifesaver for many. Math is a subject that many kids struggle with. I know mine certainly do. Primarily this is because math can seem so abstract. The key to helping your child succeed in math is to make the concepts as concrete as possible. What works: 1. Hands on activities like the ones described here: http://clicks.aweber.com/z/ct/?n29CDVXwOaDhA1oKpoCFYw 2. The touchmath system - This works really well for young students who are falling below grade level and is often something teachers are already familiar with. http://clicks.aweber.com/z/ct/?JUIpUNKmkJ6ucSlh9i3WzQ 3. Not reinventing the wheel. De Horstmeier is an expert on teaching math to kids who are hands-on learners. Check out her book for ideas on how to make math meaningful to your child. http://clicks.aweber.com/z/ct/?tLdY5aTcDU8voE6SVf5crQ Well, hope that's helpful to you, Talk to you later!
