Guest guest
I have, but as I have a reaction to soy and it is soy based, I may have been reacting to it. Otherwise, I would use it. If you buy it as a powder, Designs for Health http://www.dfhi.com/ recommends adding it to protein powders/nutrient dense formulas because it will increase the absorbability of all nutrients. Here is a product data sheet with reference to a very encouraging study for age related memory loss. http://www.emersonecologics.com/pdfs/productsheets/PHOS4.pdf I expect my memory problems are due to complex causes. I am continually astounded by how I can't recall the simplest of things, most especially the names of people I know and love. Now, if someone asked me the name of the president, and I couldn't recall it, I might not mind the lapse. ~jeanne
Guest guest
Does anyone know about phosphatidylserine? I was looking into it for my oldest who has ADHD. It says it helps with memory functions too and I was wondering if it did work, would it help someone with DS? http://www.phosphatidylserine.net/ Thanks, Cheryl .. Guest guest
I give it to my son (14) I thought initially it helped him along + manganese for memory but I'm not sure i'll get another bottle. It was from Pure Encapsulations (Breakspeare). PS100 - 120 caps - his dose was 2 (100mg each) per day and was hugely expensive @ £56.42 for 120 caps not sure if there was an additional £8.46 on top for VAT or if that was included. I think there are cheaper ways to help anxiety which might be as effective. Guest guest
not very helpful but Tom didn't tolerate it. I'm going to try again soon as he seems to have gone from tolerating almost nothing to tolerating eveything since he's been on tri-quench. Guest guest
From Onibasu and Cutler's books it looks likePS - lowers cortisol, although I've heard it actually evens out cortisol spikes, so good for depression and memoryPC - good for increasing bile flow in liver (so good for detoxing), good for brain/cognition, controls blood cholesterol, costs a lot less than PSBe aware they are derived from soy. Personally I would give PS only for agression, rage, anxiety, depression etc. and only after trying ACE first. Let us know how you get on with PC as I have considered trying this but my boys are soy-free and I'm too frightened to try it. He is improving so much, not exactly sure what's doing it but I'm not going to stop anything now! I heard it was good for cortisol spikes, so if you don't respond that well to ACE you would try this. He has both though and seems to work really well for him.
