The North Carolina Youth Leadership Network

(NC YLN) has been organizing a summit for youth ages 16-28 years old.

This summit will take place August 26-27 at the North Raleigh Hilton.

They are currently recruiting participants with disabilities who either

exemplify leadership or have the potential to be a leader in the

community.

The summit will focus on youth empowerment

and will also serve as an introduction to disability rights, culture,

and community. The registration deadline is July 30th and

they will only be accepting 50 participants. Attached is an

application: please pass it along!

Lodging and meals will be covered by their

sponsors, the NC Office on Disability and Health (ODH), the Governor's

Advocacy Council for Persons with Disabilities (GACPD), and the NC

Developmental Disabilities Council (NC DDC).

The 2005 Youth Summit is 100% for youth, by youth so

encourage every young person with a disability to apply! Please contact

me if you know have any questions or suggestions!
